New 2026 Buick Electra Price, Pictures, Redesign
New 2026 Buick Electra Price, Pictures, Redesign – Electra is a name borrowed from Buick’s gas-guzzling history that will define the brand’s electrified future. The first model in the Buick Electra series, the Electra SUV (which will be sold in China as well) will hit the market in 2026. The Electra, which uses GM’s Ultium battery technology, is expected to offer performance and range that are on par with the Cadillac Lyriq. New 2026 Buick Electra Price
As a result, you may anticipate 340 horsepower and a single-charge range of about 300 miles. Compared to the gasoline-powered Envision SUV, the Electra’s inside seems even more spacious. A 30-inch curved data display, similar to that seen in the Cadillac Escalade, is also standard on the Electra.

New 2026 Buick Electra Redesign and Update Plan
Exterior and Interior
From photos we’ve seen of the Chinese-market, we can see that Buick has designed a stylish interior for its first EV model and the materials look upscale too. Two rows of seats provide seating for up to five and multi-colored interior ambient lighting gives drivers ways to customize the vibe inside. We haven’t sat in them yet, but the front seats look mighty comfortable and the rear seat space looks quite generous. New 2026 Buick Electra MPG
New 2026 Buick Electra Specs
A massive 30.0-inch display stretches most of the Electra dashboard. The curved screen will likely be touch sensitive on the right side where the infotainment features are located. A 5G Wi-Fi hotspot will be standard and we expect to see wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well. A wireless smartphone charging pad will likely be available too, and we think Buick will include a Bose premium stereo system as an option.

Engine and Performance
All Electra models are powered by the same 328-hp turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. This engine is shared with the Chevrolet Traverse and the GMC Acadia, and like those models, the Electra comes with an eight-speed automatic and either front- or all-wheel drive. Unlike its stablemates, the Buick isn’t be offered with additional off-road goodies. Buicks are made for the boulevard.
The top-spec Avenir model comes with adaptive dampers and 22-inch wheels; the Preferred and Sport Touring models have a more traditional passive-damper setup for their suspension systems and ride on standard 20s or optional 22s. The Electra can tow up to 5000 pounds, but unlocking that number requires springing for the optional Trailering package. During our test drive of the Electra, we found it to have a soft, compliant ride and little driving verve. The turbo-four provides adequate power, and the Buick differentiates itself from its siblings with extra sound deadening that makes for a quiet cabin. New 2026 Buick Electra Price
New 2026 Buick Electra Fuel Economy
The EPA rates the front-wheel-drive Electra at 20 mpg city, 27 mpg highway, and 23 mpg combined. Opting for all-wheel drive drops those numbers to 19 mpg city, 24 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined. On our real-world 75-mph highway fuel-economy test, the front-wheel-drive Electra achieved 23 mpg.

New 2026 Buick Electra Price and Release Date
The price of the 2026 Buick Electra is expected to start around $50,000 and go up to $70,000 depending on the trim and options. If the Electra follows the Buick brand’s current trim structure—and that’s an open question at this point—the base model will likely be the Preferred trim, with a mid-range Essence adding more luxury features, and a range-topping Avenir carrying the most goodies and the biggest price tag. When we find out more about the Electra and its standard and optional equipment, we’ll update this story with that information. New 2026 Buick Electra Price
